Career

Ali has worked in a number of roles for community housing provider, Junction Australia, a Tier 1 organisation, in South Australia for 11 years. Her key achievements include:

  • The successful project management of the transfers of over 1,100 properties from public housing to a community housing organisation in 2016 and 2017 (Note: 2016 was the first time that this type of public housing transfer had occurred in Australia);

  • Project management of the implementation of Penelope (a case management system) in 2018 and Folio (a Compliance and Risk Management system) in 2019;

  • Facilitation of numerous workshops to model current business processes and then working with diverse teams to subsequently design and implement improved business processes;

  • Development and monitoring of suites of monthly reports to assist with achieving KPIs, compliance management and other regulatory requirements;

  • Member of the Steering Committee to oversee the implementation of a Tenancy and Property management system (and the demise of the existing system) in 2018

  • Member of two successful tender writing teams;

  • Project coordination of the delivery of 87 social housing properties in 2011-12 (including: design, project documentation & administration, monitoring of contracts and variations, progress & site meetings and project reporting (to internal and external stakeholders).

Prior to working in the community housing sector, Ali worked for:

  • Price Waterhouse Coopers (England and Australia) in internal audit roles;

  • HSBC Bank as an IT Project Manager in their E-Banking Systems department and as a Credit Scoring Analyst in their Decision Support Unit.
